The Harris County Single-Family Reconstruction Program rebuilds unsafe, uninhabitable single-family homes for low-to-moderate income families, producing hazard-resilient and energy-efficient replacement homes on the same site. The program is available in unincorporated Harris County and participating cooperative cities. Homes must be owner-occupied and deemed uninhabitable or beyond reasonable repair.
Full reconstruction grants up to $135,000 in designated revitalization areas; standard reconstruction up to $80,000.
