About This Program

Houston Volunteer Lawyers (HVL), the pro bono arm of the Houston Bar Association, connects low-income Harris County residents with volunteer attorneys for free civil legal help, including housing matters such as foreclosure defense, deed and title issues, landlord-tenant disputes, and estate planning. HVL is the largest pro bono legal services provider in Harris County.

Not a direct home repair grant; legal help can protect homeownership and resolve title issues blocking repair program eligibility.
