About This Program

TSAHC's Homes for Texas Heroes provides 3–5% down payment grants (true grants — no repayment required) paired with 30-year fixed-rate mortgages to eligible Texas heroes including teachers, firefighters, EMS, police, correctional officers, and veterans. Available to both first-time and repeat homebuyers. The grant can also be structured as a deferred forgivable second lien forgiven after 3 years.

5% grant on $300,000 loan = $15,000 that never needs to be repaid.
