About This Program

The CalHFA MyHome Assistance Program provides a deferred-payment junior loan for down payment or closing cost assistance of up to 3.5% of the purchase price for first-time homebuyers using a CalHFA first mortgage. The loan is due upon sale, refinance, or payoff of the first mortgage. Income limits apply and vary by county; in San Diego, the limit is set relative to San Diego Area Median Income.
