About This Program

LIHEAP helps low-income Tampa and Hillsborough households pay energy bills and may cover HVAC repair or replacement. Benefits include heating/cooling bill payment ($400 minimum, $1,350 maximum) and crisis assistance (up to $2,000 year-round). Income must be at or below 60% State Median Income. Apply through floridaliheap.com or Hillsborough County Human Services.

Benefit paid directly to the utility company. Crisis assistance is available year-round for emergency situations.
