About This Program

Arizona's federally funded Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate (HEAR) program provides point-of-sale rebates on qualifying electrification upgrades for income-eligible households in Tucson. Low-income households (≤80% AMI) receive 100% of project costs up to $14,000; moderate-income (80–150% AMI) receive 50% up to $14,000. Launched May 2025. One Tucson homeowner received a $14,000 HEAR rebate plus a $300 TEP rebate, paying only $175 out-of-pocket for a new heat pump system.
