About This Program

DC's Office of Planning provides grants up to $50,000 to low- and moderate-income homeowners whose primary residence is in a historic district or is an individually designated landmark. Grants fund exterior and structural rehabilitation including roofing, original window/door repair, wood siding, masonry, and porches. Households below 60% AMI receive full grants; 60–90% AMI must contribute 25%; 90–120% AMI must contribute 50%.

Estimated at $50,000 maximum for households at or below 60% AMI.
