About This Program

DHCD provides grants up to $30,000 for accessibility modifications under its Single Family Residential Rehabilitation Program. Eligible work includes wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, roll-in showers, grab bars, and other structural alterations to eliminate barriers for persons with mobility or physical impairments. A doctor's note documenting medical necessity is required for interior structural work.
