About This Program

DHCD's Single Family Residential Rehabilitation Program provides grants to District homeowners for complete roof replacement and repair, including gutters. Applicants must own and have occupied their home as a primary residence for at least three years, be current on all taxes, and agree to a 20-year covenant. Income limits apply (up to ~$131,000 for a household of 4 in 2025); grant cannot be received within 5 years of a prior SFRRP award.

Estimated at the published roof-grant cap of $20,000.
