LIHEAP provides one-time annual energy bill assistance of $200–$1,800 to income-eligible DC households, based on household size, income, heating source, and dwelling type. A separate emergency benefit covers up to $500 for households facing disconnection or with heating oil below 5% capacity. Income limits for FY26 range from $61,841 (1 person) to $156,982 (6 persons).
