Pepco Residential Aid Discount (RAD)

About This Program

Pepco's RAD program offers eligible DC electric customers monthly discounts on their electric bills, plus exemption from several surcharges. Non-all-electric customers receive a 63% discount on the first 400 kWh in summer and 32% in winter (savings ~$102/yr). All-electric heating customers receive 38% off first 700 kWh in summer and 51% in winter (up to $475/yr). Eligibility is based on Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, VA pension, federal housing assistance, or income below 135% FPL.

Estimated at published maximum of $475/year for all-electric customers.
