About This Program

Safe at Home provides free minor home modifications and adaptive equipment to District residents age 60+ or adults with disabilities age 18+ to reduce fall risk and support aging in place. Covered modifications include handrails, grab bars, bathtub cuts, shower seats, and stair lifts. Income must be at or below 100% AMI (up to $99,600/individual; $113,850/household of 2).
