About This Program

Harris County provides grants of up to $40,000 to repair or replace failing water wells and septic systems that pose health or safety risks. The property must be in unincorporated Harris County or within cooperative cities (not Houston, Pasadena, or Baytown). There is no age requirement for this program, but income must not exceed 80% AMI.

Grant covers full cost of repair or replacement up to $40,000 for qualifying septic/well systems.
